Paté has been dedicated to rescuing and re-homing dogs and cats since 2003 when she first volunteered at a local pet rescue. Through the years, her efforts have won her acclaim not only throughout the rescue community, but she has also been inducted into the LGBT Hall of Fame in recognition of her countless hours of hard work and commitment. Paté started Stock the Shelter in 2011 and celebrates 12 years of raising funds for the purchase of pet food and supplies to help support Chicagolands most vulnerable animals as they wait for loving, forever homes.
